SAILING & WATERSPORTS

Sessions for Groups

We welcome group sessions!

For group watersports sessions, we offer a price per person rate that varies according to the activity, location and bespoke needs of each group – we can tailor your day of activities to what you’d enjoy most.

CST Experiences is a Not-For-Profit organisation that exists to bring inclusive watersports, activities and events to all. We are owned by charity Children’s Sailing Trust who have operated on the Helford River since 1997, opening the fully accessible watersports centre Trevassack Lake in late 2021.

All activities bought and paid for through CST Experiences (CSTX) help to support the work our charity does with disadvantaged school children and SEND groups!

NEW: Adventure Island Raft Building!

The secret island in the lake is secret no more – go exploring only to discover pirates have made off with your kayaks! So you have to build a raft to escape or else learn to live with the wildlife…

NEW: Katakanu!

Our fabulous, accessible multi-person catamaran-like kayak can hold up to 6 people for a gentle group excursion or some team-building, in sync action.

Stranded on the island, children must build a raft to escape!

Team building on a paddleboard with CST Experiences

Participants are not required to be able to swim but do need to be confident in and around water. We provide all necessary specialist equipment, including buoyancy aids, helmets and wetsuits where appropriate. Each activity participant would need to provide their own:

  • Swimwear and T-shirt/rash vest
  • Towel
  • Windproof jacket
  • Closed toe shoes (old trainers or wetsuit shoes)
  • Filled water bottle
  • Completed CST Activity Health & Water Confidence Declaration form (issued at time of booking)

School Groups

Most ‘terms’ are booked in blocks of 6 sessions over 6 weeks, however each term can be tailored to the availability of the group, from 2 sessions to infinite.

Working towards the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Youth Sailing syllabus, these regular sessions have been proven to develop a student’s confidence, competence and resilience. In partnership with the RYA OnBoard programme, our sailing sessions complements school curriculums and teaches invaluable life skills

A group representative (teacher, leader, parent or carer) will need to take the group co-ordinator role and liaise with CST in the set up of the programme. Once it is set up they need not be onsite during the sessions (however you are more than welcome to get involved!).

How much does it cost?

TBC

Please get in touch while we finalise our pricing for the upcoming season.
