Cornwall Swim Festival 2025

This November, Trevassack Lake will play host to something truly special. In partnership with Cornish Kelpie, we’re proud to welcome swimmers, families and friends to the very first Cornwall Swim Festival!

Sunday 2nd November 2025 10-4pm

We’re so excited to be hosting a new swim festival, following the brilliant success of having the Bluetits here in previous years – both events were co-founded by ‘Inspirational Woman of the Year 2025’, Sarah Walsh! Sarah runs Cornish Kelpie Open Water Swimming and has chosen Trevassack as the perfect place to kickstart the Cornish Swim Festival, and by doing so, is supporting our charity, Children’s Sailing Trust.

The festival is designed to celebrate the simple joy of swimming, with distances ranging from 50m dashes to 1500m endurance swims. It’s not about competition – it’s about fun, confidence and the uplifting feeling of being part of a community that loves the water.

But the day doesn’t stop at the shoreline. Around the lake, you’ll discover:

  • Outdoor brands including Dryrobe, Finisterre, Peth and Waterhaul
  • Live music and entertainment to keep the energy high
  • Delicious food trucks and our lakeside cafe
  • Talks and workshops, including a keynote from Professor Mike Tipton (University of Portsmouth)
  • Wellness experiences like our lakeside sauna and opportunities to hire paddleboards and kayaks

So, whether you’re dipping your toes in for a 50m splash or soaking up the atmosphere from the lakeside, we’d love you to be part of this celebration of Cornwall’s swimming community.

For CST Experiences, hosting the festival is about more than a single day of activity. Every ticket sold helps us continue our mission: empowering children through time on the water. By joining us at the Cornwall Swim Festival, you’ll not only enjoy a memorable day, you’ll be directly supporting programmes that help children build confidence, resilience and joy through sailing and watersports.

Pay it forward: Help a disadvantaged young person discover a real love of the water too!

By choosing to donate, you can help Children’s Sailing Trust provide watersports sessions for children who otherwise might not get the chance. Many children growing up in Cornwall who live in poverty or live with disabilities have few opportunities to discover the joy of sailing.

We exist to change that. Year after year, our affordable and accessible watersports sessions instil a sense of confidence, competence and resilience in children that inspires a new found love of the water and spending time on and in it. Thank you for your support.

“All of our pupils benefited from the watersports with building their relationships with each other and are kinder and happier in each others company. They have a mutual respect for each other now.”
