RYA Sailing at Trevassack Lake

Learn to Sail with CST

We’re very proud to have been officially accredited as an RYA learning centre here at Trevassack Lake. This means that our charitable activities on the Helford River can defer to the lake for poor weather days, keeping the children’s sailing programmes on track year round. It also means that we can offer RYA certifications to those with additional needs.

The facilities at Trevassack are second-to-none; the site is Gold award-winning for accessibility and inclusivity, welcoming all ages and abilities to enjoy the natural spring-fed 10 acre lake with state-of-the-art buildings built with sustainability and the environment at the forefront. You’ll benefit from Changing Places, hot showers (powered by the lake!), knowledgable staff and lots of coffee and cake from the waterside cafe.

Why Sail at Trevassack Lake?

Trevassack Lake is the perfect place for anyone, of any age or ability, to get out on the water in most weather conditions, any time of year – plus, we’re a charity! So your booking helps support the work of Children’s Sailing Trust who teach lifeskills and improving mental and physical well-being by getting young people out on the water who otherwise wouldn’t get the chance.

We’re set up to welcome all; from complete beginners, those who are particularly anxious, or those with accessibility requirements as we have pontoon hoists and adapted craft to help with physical disabilities, to experiences sailors in their 90s showing the younger ones how it’s done.
