The Cornwall Swim Festival at Trevassack Lake isn’t just about the swims – it’s a celebration of community, creativity and connection to the water. Alongside the exciting range of swim events, festivalgoers can look forward to inspiring talks, interactive sessions, and stalls from some of Cornwall’s most talented small businesses. Whether you’re swimming, spectating or just soaking up the atmosphere, there’s plenty to explore around the lake.
Cornwall Swim Festival is brought to you by Cornish Kelpie!
Inspiration from Professor Mike Tipton
We’re thrilled to welcome Professor Mike Tipton, one of the world’s leading experts on cold water immersion and human performance. As keynote speaker, he’ll be sharing insights from his pioneering research at the University of Portsmouth, helping swimmers understand what happens to the body in cold water and how to adapt safely and confidently.
Professor Tipton’s talk is a must-hear for anyone interested in wellbeing, resilience and the science behind that incredible post-swim high.
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) will be joining us lakeside, offering practical advice and friendly conversation about staying safe around open water. From understanding the ‘float to live’ technique to spotting potential hazards, their team brings invaluable expertise to help everyone enjoy swimming safely, whatever your experience level.
